This past week the 2013 Fall Peru team had both our packing party and the Great American Chili Cookoff! Both events were great fun. We continue to be overwhelming blessed with donations for Peru, so we are being as creative as possible to get everything packed within the airline limits. We have a ton of stuff!
The last team fundraiser was a great success with lots of good eats for everyone. Jake won the contest with his secret down home recipe. Thanks to the faculty and staff for judging and for bringing desserts. And thanks to all of the chili cooks. There wasn't a bad pot of chili in the room.
Bev takes off for Peru this weekend, and the student team next week. We ask for prayer for the travel process to go smoothly, for check-ins to be FREE of Charge, for flights to be safe and timely, and for everyone to be high in energy and spirits as we hit the ground running to serve in Lima.
