Casa sweet casa

AHHHH! Arequipa!!! I (Bev) made it as scheduled to the "White City". The best site I saw (after seeing Misti towering over the city) was Amy's and Jodee's familiar faces. Jorge whisked us back to the guest house where I treated to a hot shower and a hot meal. I am a new Woman!

Amy and I are scheduled all day tomorrow to see patients for wheelchair measurements and whatever other needs they have. It should be a good day. So, I plan to get a good night's sleep in a REAL bed. I have never been as thankful for the conveniences of life, like a hot shower and a bed. zzzzz

It has been a long trip for me as well (Amy), although I did not have quite the experience Bev had on her journey. After 26 hours of traveling I touched down in Arequipa. I was also very excited for the shower and a warm bed. I have already had a chance to catch up with Jodee and walk the streets of Arequipa. It is absolutely beautiful here.

I'm excited to see all of what God has planned for this trip. I spent a few hours in LAX and listened to several John Piper sermons. In one sermon he made three statements that I am going to meditate on during this trip and I want to share them with you.

1. God has a good and wise Christ exalting purpose for my life.

2. Jesus is the path to the full and final enjoyable experience of that purpose.

3. Jesus is seeking me and wants to make me a worshipper.

There have been some things happen that I had not planned for but God is in control and knowing that His purpose is supreme is comforting. My prayer for the next 10 days is that God would be glorified above everything. John 3:30

Night everyone! Time for bed! Much love. <3 Amy
